ETS’s registration page links a Test Availability PDF that shows which tests are offered.
- Sign in to your Praxis account and add your test.
- Choose test center, then look at the locations and time slots offered.
- After booking, check the address any time under My Tests, then View Details.
On the day at a test center
Bad weather or other problems can delay your start or move your appointment.
- Arrive 30 minutes before your appointment, and plan to stay up to an hour longer than the test itself.
- Bring an acceptable, valid photo ID. Staff may take your picture and check your ID.
- Personal items stay in a locker. You can get food, drinks and medicine during a break.
- Most tests have no scheduled break. You may take one unscheduled 5- to 10-minute restroom break.
- Use only the scratch paper the administrator gives you, and hand it back at the end.
Testing at home instead
Over 100 tests, including Core, can be taken at home every day of the week. You need a Windows or Mac computer, a private room with a closed door and a small whiteboard.
